Shelby County Tennessee, which includes the city of Memphis has reason to be proud this week!  MSNBC news  spotlighted some serious “Black Girl Magic” on the All In With Chris Hayes program.  MSNBC highlighted that there were twenty African American women elected to political offices (local and statewide) in the county during the August 2018 election cycle.  It was the first time many of the women ran for office and the youngest is 27 years old.  These women saw needs in their communities and instead of waiting for someone else to do something, they decided to lead the change they would like to see.  Congratulations to each of you and make the City of Memphis proud they elected you as you begin your terms in serving your community.
